Your Gateway to the Heart of Jim Corbett

If you’ve ever dreamt of waking up to the calls of the wild and watching the mist lift over the grasslands of Jim Corbett National Park, Dhikala Forest Lodge is the place to be. Located right inside the core zone, Dhikala is not just a stay — it’s an experience that puts you in the middle of nature’s untouched beauty.

    Why Stay at Dhikala Lodge?

Dhikala is the largest forest rest house in Jim Corbett and one of the few accommodations located deep inside the park. This means you get an unmatched chance to witness wildlife in their natural habitat, without the rush of outside traffic. Early mornings here are magical — elephants grazing in the distance, spotted deer moving through the tall grass, and if you’re lucky, the roar of the tiger echoing through the forest.

    Accommodation & Facilities

    • Rooms & Dormitories – Comfortable, basic, and clean, designed to blend with the forest atmosphere.

    • Power & Water Supply – Limited, but sufficient for a comfortable stay. The idea here is to disconnect from city chaos.

    • Canteen Facility – Serves fresh, simple meals for guests.

Don’t expect luxury — Dhikala is about raw, real jungle living.

    Booking Guidelines

    • Advance Booking – Forest Department rules require bookings at least 45 days in advance for Indian visitors and up to 90 days for foreign nationals.

    • ID Proof – A government-issued photo ID is mandatory for all guests.

    • Limited Availability – Only a handful of rooms, so early booking is strongly recommended.

    Safari Experience from Dhikala

One of the biggest perks of staying here is the exclusive jeep safari access to Dhikala Zone. It’s famous for its open grasslands, riverbeds, and rich variety of wildlife. Morning and evening safaris are led by trained drivers and guides who know the forest inside out.

    Important Things to Know

    • Mobile network is very weak or unavailable — perfect for a digital detox.

    • Entry and exit timings are fixed by the forest authorities.

    • No night travel inside the park is allowed for safety reasons.
